In coordination with Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center (LHTEC), Community Smiles provides the clinical training and rotation for LHTEC’s ADA-accredited Dental Assisting Certification Program.

Students in the program come primarily from the surrounding low-income communities of Allapattah, Overtown, and Brownsville.

Community Smiles is pleased to fulfill this critical role in providing the necessary hands-on training for future dental assistants. Each year, Community Smiles offers transitional employment to the top graduates of this program, and is proud to provide them with an opportunity not only for further mentoring, but a bridge to entry into the healthcare workforce.
